With both a MBA and CPA, David relocated to the High Country in 1999 to become the CFO of Skyline Telephone. David went on to operate a successful Sno-Ball/candy shop on Main Street in Blowing Rock and during that same time period, worked as the Assistant Finance Director for Watauga County.
Determining that he no longer wanted to be tied to a desk or even a fixed location and thoroughly enjoying the interaction with his store customers, David started a very successful real estate career over 12 years ago.
David was the Top Sales Agent at Century 21 in 2009. Leaving C-21 at the end of 2010, David helped start the Keller Williams High Country Real Estate office in Boone. Helping grow KWHC to the number one Real Estate firm here in The High Country, David was awarded a Top Agent Sales Award in 2012.
In December, 2014 left KWHC to help grow Blue Ridge Realty & Investments ( BRRI ), a smaller locally owned firm. In the 5 years David has been at BRRI, he has won several awards as a top Selling Agent. He has helped grow BRRI from a half dozen agents in two offices to more than 30+ agents located in 8 offices. BRRI has now become the top Listing firm in the High Country with a regional presence having offices in 6 of the largest towns spread over 4 Counties. Having agents in multiple offices has allowed BRRI to maintain its Local presence.
David is also recognized for his charitable work with Boone Sunrise Rotary and currently as the Treasurer of the Watauga Habitat for Humanity.
David and his wife Carolyn love to travel with their 4 grown kids and 5 grand children but David really likes to just kick back and enjoy being in the mountains and negotiating the best Real Estate deals for his clients.
